Ingredients:

For the Stromboli:

  • 1 lb (450g) pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 lb (450g) thinly sliced ribeye steak (or another steak cut, thinly sliced)
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional, but adds great flavor)
  • 8 oz (225g) provolone cheese, shredded (or a blend of provolone and mozzarella)
  • 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional, for added flavor)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for brushing the dough)

For the Dipping Sauce (Optional):

  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce or cheese sauce

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the ingredients:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
    • Thinly slice the ribeye steak (or your preferred cut). You can freeze it for about 30 minutes to make slicing easier.
    • Slice the onion and bell pepper (if using).
  2. Cook the steak and veggies:
    • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add the thinly sliced onions and bell peppers and sauté for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.
