Ingredients:
For the Stromboli:
- 1 lb (450g) pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 lb (450g) thinly sliced ribeye steak (or another steak cut, thinly sliced)
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional, but adds great flavor)
- 8 oz (225g) provolone cheese, shredded (or a blend of provolone and mozzarella)
- 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional, for added flavor)
- 1 egg, beaten (for brushing the dough)
For the Dipping Sauce (Optional):
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce or cheese sauce
Instructions:
- Prepare the ingredients:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Thinly slice the ribeye steak (or your preferred cut). You can freeze it for about 30 minutes to make slicing easier.
- Slice the onion and bell pepper (if using).
- Cook the steak and veggies:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the thinly sliced onions and bell peppers and sauté for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.
